Higher Education Administration is a new online program designed by the Centre for Higher Education Research and Development (CHERD) at the U of M. CHERD is nationally recognized for its quality professional development programs for university, college, and polytechnic administrators and managers including the University Management Course (UMC), the Senior University Administrators Course (SUAC), and the highly anticipated new Women in Academic Leadership program.

Now CHERD has a program for entry level administrators and those who are new to the higher education environment.

Higher Education Administration is the new online professional development opportunity designed to be a guided introduction to the unique world of higher education in Canada including its history and its complexities.

It’s for you

If you are new to working in a university, college, or polytechnic, this is the program for you.

With this program, you will take the initiative to learn more about your workplace including its history, culture, students, and important topics like Indigenization. You will also work on your leadership skills and network with colleagues. Apply for this relevant professional development program.

The Higher Education Administration program includes four courses. Courses are offered sequentially. In order to be eligible to receive your Letter of Accomplishment (LOA) credential, you must apply to the program AND register for the courses.
