IGAC doors open one hour prior to the ceremony, and guests should be seated at least 15 minutes prior to the start.

Seating

Guest seating is in the bleachers, accessed from the third floor. Please exercise extreme caution when going up or down the bleacher stairs.

Accessible seating
For guests who are disabled or in wheelchairs, mobility-friendly seating areas are located on the main floor of IGAC. There is space for one support person to be seated with you.

A wheelchair is available to assist guests from the front of IGAC to the accessible seating area, but this wheelchair is not for use throughout the ceremony or reception.

Any guests with accessibility or mobility challenges should approach an usher in a blue gown for directions to seating. The ushers will be stationed at the front reception area.

Children
Children are welcome to attend the ceremony. However, please keep in mind it will last two to two and a half hours. Also, due to fire regulations, baby strollers cannot be accommodated in the aisles of IGAC. Please be advised you will need to hold your baby or toddler during the ceremony.

Length of ceremony

Expect the ceremony to last two to two and a half hours. Graduation ceremony length can vary due to the number of graduates, speeches, and awards.

After the ceremony

After the ceremony, graduates proceed out of IGAC to the reception area. This is an excellent location to meet your graduates. Do not meet them at the exit doors of IGAC as this area must be kept clear.

Photography

Taking photos
Guests may only take photos from their seats. Guests are not permitted on the floor during the ceremony, due to fire regulations.

Professional photos
Professional photos will be taken during the ceremony. Online access to photos will be provided to graduates shortly after the event.
